WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING MY INITIAL SESSION WITH YOU?

Confidentiality is a fundamental aspect of our discussions; however, there are legal limitations that I must adhere to. Prior to therapy, I will carefully review these limitations and obtain your informed consent. Our primary aim will be to gain clarity on the reasons for seeking therapy. Through thought-provoking questions, I will help you explore your focus area more deeply. Regular check-ins will ensure that I accurately understand and grasp what you share, enabling us to begin the therapeutic process. Remember, it is your choice what you share and what areas we work on, always at your own level and pace of comfort.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

To cancel an appointment, please call or send an email at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time. Cancellations made after this 24-hour window will result in being charged the full fee for the session.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS AND PAYMENT OPTIONS?

The cost for each session is $120. Payment options include e-transfer or cash. If you are seeking therapy funded by the First Nation Health Authority, it is necessary I submit a claim for pre-approval before we can begin sessions. The process is similar for Medavie Blue Cross benefits.

WHAT IS WALK AND TALK THERAPY?

Walk and Talk sessions are available for folks in or near Salmo as an option following the initial session. These sessions take place on the Rails to Trails, where we would engage in therapeutic dialogue while walking. It's important to note that walk and talk appointments are subject to weather conditions and require a unique consent form.
